Between 2008 and 2011, I contributed chapters on specific albums to three photo-intensive and presumably pricey classic-rock-band coffee-table books put out by the Minneapolis-based publisher Voyageur Press: On News of the World for their Queen book; Coda for their Led Zeppelin book; and both Rocks and Done With Mirrors for their Aerosmith. It occurs to me that Aerosmith just might be the band I’ve been paid to write the most words on, total, in my lifetime. No doubt I’ve written some of those words twice. Here’s the Rocks essay.
